It’s National Missing Persons Week! Today until 10 August, drop into a participating cafe to pick up one of these biodegradable coffee cups. This one features the story of missing Perth man Rigby Fielding.
Jeffrey D. Phillips and I put together the story and artwork with the help of Rigby’s sister Stephenie. The cup is part of MPAN Australia’s The Unmissables coffee cup campaign, and is one of eight unique designs each telling the story of a long-term missing person. The project launched at Round 20 of the AFL at the MCG. In total, 100,000 coffee cups have gone out across the country.
If you’re in Sydney, visit the Unmissables pop-up coffee cart in Martin Place on Monday morning (7.30am–10.30am) to make a small donation and get a cup of coffee courtesy of Stitch Coffee Roasters. The cups are also available at Piccolo Me and Smoke & Soda. If you’re in Perth, grab a cup at Stomp and Elixir. Heaps of Melbourne cafes are also participating.
Visit Help Find Rigby to learn more about Rigby’s story and support the campaign to find him.
