Things have been so hectic recently that I neglected to post about the shortlisting of Portable Curiosities for two awards: the Readings Prize for New Australian Fiction 2016 and the Queensland Literary Awards – Australian Short Story Collection – Steele Rudd Award 2016. I’m honoured to be on both shortlists, especially in such amazing company.

Here’s an interview I did with Sarah Fallon at READ WRITE THINK REPEAT. We talked about Portable Curiosities, working with illustrators, and my exciting new project with Math Paper Press: BooksActually’s Gold Standard. Sarah also recently wrote an article for Overland: What does everyone have against speculative fiction?. In it, she discusses ‘The Sister Company’, one of the stories in Portable Curiosities.
