About Eric
Eric Dando was born in Tokyo in 1970 and lives in Daylesford, Victoria.
Copies of his cult classic debut novel, Snail (Penguin, 1996), are rare and highly coveted, especially by me. Snail is currently out of print but will be available again soon as an ebook.
Eric’s second novel, Oink, Oink, Oink (Hunter Publishers, 2008) is available in ebook format via Smashwords, along with his short story and flash fiction collection, Tell Pitiful Story, and his poetry and flash fiction collection, The Moon in the Pinetree was like a Thin Bald Man.
His short fiction has appeared in publications including The Sleepers Almanac, Cordite Poetry Review, The Age, Going Down Swinging, Verity La, Torpedo, The Diamond & The Thief, Red Leaves / 紅葉 and The Lifted Brow.
To read more about Eric and his work, head over to his website at http://ericdando.com. When you’re there, make sure you read his short story, A Shortage of Santas.
Thanks to Eric for giving me permission to reproduce his work on this blog.
The part about the teapots is just fantastic spot on satire! Eric Dando is new to me, but after this teaser I will have to get more acquainted with his work.
You will not be disappointed! His work is brilliant.
